Description

iC-Haus iC-PVS

iC-Haus iC-PVS is a high-performance hall sensor designed for absolute position sensing. It combines a 56-bit low-power position counter with a highly configurable Hall array front-end that can be adapted to various magnetic pole pitches or gear tooth modules. BiSS, SPI, incremental as well as sin/cos (analog) interfaces allow operating iC-PVS either as a stand-alone encoder or in combination with a downstream interpolator like iC-TW29.

Types and Packages

  • iC-PVS QFN38-5×7, RoHS compliant MSL 3, 260°C

Features

  • High performance Hall sensors with automatic offset control
  • Fits magnetic scales of 0.5 up to 2.5,mm pole width or gear tooth modules of 0.3 up to 1.5
  • Absolute position data with battery-buffered period counting up to MTBW,bits
  • Analog output for downstream high resolution A/D conversion
  • Internal 6-bit flash interpolation with 64 increments per magnetic period on the serial, incremental and parallel interface
  • Serial I/O interfaces (BiSS, SSI, SPI, and Ihoch2C

Application

  • Freely scalable high resolution hollow-shaft absolute multiturn encoders
  • Freely scalable high resolution linear absolute position sensors
  • Ferrous gear wheel or magnetic incremental scale scanning
  • Configurable magnetic sensing heads
